Evening Choir

Though I’m not the best of singers

It really doesn’t matter.

I go along to learn the tunes

Have a sing song and a natter.

A lovely group of people

Welcome you right at the door

Offering their friendship

You could ask for nothing more.

You don’t have to read the music

Play piano, or guitar

We’re just a local friendly choir

So you don’t have to travel far.

We laugh at Kirsty’s warmups

Stamp your feet on number 3

You don’t have to be an expert

You couldn’t be as bad as me!

We have Baritones in low key

The Altos harmonise

Then Sopranos singing high notes

Which is really no surprise.

Songs from shows or silver screen

We love to belt them out

On Wednesdays, or on Sundays

You’ll have fun I have no doubt.

Though I may not be professional

I may drop a note or two

I laugh, have fun, enjoy myself

It could be the same for you.

We would love for you to join us

Doing concerts through the year

And carols sung at Christmas time

To spread the festive cheer.

With patience of a saint

Kirsty really takes her time

She teaches us the notes to sing

As we echo every line.

It really is so lovely

With all those songs I’ll never tire

Our lovely, friendly, welcoming
